Concerts

At the Musikinstrumenten-Museum, concerts of all styles are given on a regular basis. The concert series   Alte Musik - live mainly presents music from the 17th to the 19th century, performed on period instruments. As much as possible, instruments from the museum’s collection are used.

The popular series   Jour fixe - Musik am Nachmittag presents young artists from the Berlin conservatories.

In collaboration with the   Gotthard-Schierse-Stiftung, yet another concert series enables gifted musicians to introduce themselves to a broader audience.

Once a month, in collaboration with the Composer Association Berlin, modern jazz ensembles perform for the series   JAZZ IM MIM.

The   Lange Nacht der Museen is a highlight in Berlin’s cultural event calendar which takes place every year in May. Until late at night visitors of the Musikinstrumenten-Museum can enjoy a varied and entertaining musical program with a focus on highlights of the collection.
